The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church-Atlanta collected paper goods and cleaning supplies to offset dollars Gilgal would normally spend.  Office Administrator, Francine Jackson states that "We are in constant need of paper goods and cleaning supplies.  No donation is too small."

THE HEART OF GIVING - ARE YOU A KING?

Do you know how important you are? We hope this article encourages you to see just how valuable you really are.

In the book “Kings and Priests”, David High writes about how God gives vision to the Priests and provision to the Kings. The King’s “ministry” is to take their provision and provide for the work of the vision.

Too often people look at those who make plenty of money but are not directly involved in the ministry, and wrongly wonder why they’re not “doing their part.” The fact is, they are doing their part! God has anointed some to provide through the gifts and talents He’s given them. Their businesses succeed so they can help fund the vision that God has given to the ministries He has birthed. We need to begin to recognize that making regular donations to Kingdom work is ministry!

High also reminds us that we are just stewards. God is the owner of everything - 100%. But amazingly He only commands us how to use the first 10%. The rest He leaves up to us, believing we will be prayerful and use a portion of those resources to further His Kingdom.

So why does God want offerings if we’re already faithfully tithing? Because offerings are opportunities to invest in His “company.” And the returns are greater and more secure than investing in wall street! You won’t need a bailout bill on this investment! Asking us to give offerings is God’s way of saying to us, “Have you crossed over to see the value of investing in the Kingdom? Come into partnership with me and help me build the Kingdom...one soul at a time.”

Thank you for your faithful stewardship and we pray that you see how important your ministry of giving is to the Kingdom of God. We literally could not do it without you. You are valuable to the Kingdom and to Gilgal, and we thank God for you everyday!
